A film about finding purpose, reconnection and reconciling past traumas which centres around the protagonist Frank, a directionless shipbuilder laid off after 35 years who sets his sights on swimming the English Channel. Having lost a son some 20 years prior (pressumably a twin) he has an astranged relationship with his remaining son who has twins of his own. Along the way he inspires his friends to rise and overcome their own self imposed barriers to happiness.
This is a pleasant film but not one that you should rush to watch. Enjoyable nonetheless.
