I thought the writing in particular enhanced and rewarded the viewer an insight into the the emotional thinking that was going on within the escapees as they plotted their course. It was apparent in the 7th episode that reactionary thinking was more natively instinctive to them. Prison helped them understand their real selves. Dannemora is a great ride.
