My favourite of the Alien novels that I've read so far. This one has a more gritty feeling to the opening of the story with some very real family issues leading me to feel genuine emotion for the characters early on (bravo by the way). This book sets place between Ripley waking up at the start of the 2nd film, and covers the timespan of her return journey back to LV-426 with the W-Y execs and marines, but where this book really shined for me was with just how well the author set the tone of the protagonist CO and his surrounding emotions within him. I would love to see them adapt this novel into either a film, or a video game like Isolation as I feel they could do it wonders. This is a novel I just know I'll find myself reading again in the future. Well done to the author Christopher Golden as you did a phenomenal job. Thank you.
