Excellent movie that shows the other point of view and defends the actions of Tule Lake inmates, who protested the incarceration of all Japanese Americans during World War II. Two-thirds of the 120,000 were American citizens and the other third were mostly long-time residents, who were denied the right of citizenship by discriminatory U.S. laws. The incarceration was a major wrong, per the provisions of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. Years later, Congress and President Ronald Reagan publicly admitted it was a major mistake and officially apologized to all former Japanese Americans incarcerated and provided some restitution. Former Tule Lake inmates were stigmatized by their own Japanese American community for protesting the incarceration. That wrong should be corrected.
