There are 8 songs on this album and 7 of them are galactic masterpieces. Get rid of the depressing song Fade To Black and it would have been a complete masterpiece.

6/10. Watchable for sure and NOT bad/NOT great. Performances were definitely solid which made the film at least enjoyable. I would recommend seeing it once.

James and lars must do a public apology to Jason newsted for what they did to him personally and on this album because It can never ever be a masterpiece because the bass guitar was deliberately mixed down so the fans could never hear it. Their bully, childish, immature way to haze newsted makes me so angry they won't rectify this. Even in the remaster they left the bass out again so low it makes me sick. Jason saved this band in late 1986 after the great Cliff Burton died. Jason saved them. Disgusting behavior by James and lars. Shame on them! Hurting their friend and band mate and their own album to show dominance.😞 It gets 3/5 stars because the songs are amazing and Jason newsted won't demand a remaster with bass when I wish he would.

It gets 1 star because some of the songs are great and the production is amazing. Otherwise Lars Ulrich ruined this entire album because he never did any thrash metal drumming at all on this. So it's just a heavy metal album and not a true Metallica album. 😞
