Ok so to the person that wrote a really long, unhelpful review and gave this movie 1 star, there is no reason for your one star. The move instead of playing off the premise of the first movie and being just another dumb sequel, takes a whole new point of view from the movie. Instead of just trying to understand a Tornado, they set out to see if they can stop a Tornado or weaken it, to eventually save lives.

You need to work on your math quite a bit there about her being 23.... Considering she was a PHD candidate, that means she has at least 4 years for her Bachelors, 2 Years for her Masters and another 2 to 4 Years for her PHD. If she started college at 18, Then even in the shortest timeline, She would have been 26. Now add that the movie occurs 5 years after the opening incident, making her 31. You claim she wouldn't be an expert, but she has a PHD in meteorology focusing on Tornadoes and she in the movie, worked for NOAA's (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) NWS (National Weather Service). So if you think someone who has literally dedicated her entire life to a field of study, 13 years worth and actively works in the field, if you think they're not an expert, then you need to re-evaluate your life.
The music was surprisingly good and played well with the events occurring in the movie. I am usually very picky about soundtracks in movies and a lot of times I feel the music doesn't match what's happening. In this movie, it worked really well. Any review about cheesy, terrible dialogue, has obviously never seen an indie movie like Sharknado. Those are terrible dialogues. And if the movie was so bad, then why did it net $125 Million in it's opening weekend during a year in which most movies didn't break $50 Million?
Honestly, In a lot of ways, I feel this movie was better than the original.
1. It feels like a whole new movie and it's not playing off another.
2. Good choice of actors and good storyline
3. Graphics and Cinematics were on point and give you a glimpse into a real tornado.
4. It almost makes you feel like you're there in some scenes. If there was wind and rain in your house, you'd feel like you were a part of a tornado or that storm.
Some people like the couple of one stars I read on here, have no real behind their low reviews and are just out to give bad reviews no matter what. They live their lives to be debbie downers and Karens. Take what they say with a grain of salt. If you have 1000 Reviews and 99% of them are 4 to 5 stars and you have 10, 1 star reviews, think about who's giving a review and what they're saying. As proof of point, someone who complains in their review about using a lot of good graphics, but then uses emojis throughout their entire review, isn't much better at illustrating what they're trying to say without using cheesy graphics.
