BladeRunner 2049
I have read some reviews which maintain that K, the main character, was not the offspring of Deckard, the original bladerunner. That the wooden horse memory had been implanted.
But he has found out otherwise.
K, He is the Only one who knows what he has discovered - that the effort to hide his existence, was so successful even He didnt know. He said this in his report to his lady captain superior, who didnt know there had been twins.
The lady replicant who told him about the girl didnt know there were twins either.
Nobody did - except him, when he did the 'direct code' comparison from the old, old data from the archives. And of course,, the harison ford character had known there had been twins, that the son had been left at the orphanage, to make it on his own.
When He finds the wooden horse, that it was really there, thatz the proof that the memory was real, Not implanted. The girl in the bubble room told him this too, that "This happened."
K was a BORN replicant. The offspring twin, along with the girl in the bubble, his twin, from Rachael and Deckard.
That was the fear the govt had, of coming, and that was what the psycho Trillionare wanted to find - a way to get his replicants reproducing.
That was the theme - NOT about semi-human replicants developing 'real' human feelings. But about REAL human beings, replicant human beings, already having Real feelings and humanity, all being classified and treated as sub-humans, but with dangerous powers.
But if it is proven that a replicant woman gave birth, actual birth, then replicants are proven fully human.
Sublime.
