A prolonged endurance test, badly conceived and written, poorly performed, repetitive, utterly predictable, with a cast of unlikable characters. Attempts at profundity and poignance sound like they were penned by a "woke" 13-year-old creative writing student who is failing the class. The talents of the only two standout actors (Josh Brolin and Will Patton) are wasted on terse, inane dialogue. This forgettable miniseries could easily be condensed into a two-parter, but it wouldn't improve the simplistic plot and juvenile dialogue.
