it was okay.
I love zelda games. played a lot of the games, watched full livestreams of the games I didn't have, etc. and honestly, both the breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom were just okay. They won't be as good as the old good games ever. in my opinion, I just dont see them as zelda games. They may have the title and all that, but they just don't feel like zelda games.
BOTW and TOTK share the same problems (in my eyes at least), bad storytelling/pacing, open world was done in poor way, dungeons were way too easy, the characters are very forgettable, with the ultrahand power you can just cheat through almost anything, hardly any challenges, (more of a TOTK Problem) there are so MANY unanswered questions, were they even attempting to make a sequel??? the graphics were great to me personally and the voice acting could've been a bit better but that doesn't really affect the game so yea. and this is just a personal thorn in my foot but for me, but the character designs for Zelda and Link in both games are just icky.
to be honest, TOTK just feels like a game on it own, not related to Zelda in any way, shape, or form. this game could totally work as it's own game with its own lore and whatnot, oh well tho.
maybe this is all just because I'm 14 and don't understand this game in a deep way, but these are simply my views on the game. from the NES Zelda (my grandma saved my dads old console) to now, Zelda has kinda gone down a bit with this game and BOTW.
