The set pieces, the cast, the special effects. Everything is what you want and would expect from a one piece live action recreation. Does it follow the manga/anime one to one? No. But it makes up with that with the help of the father of one piece Oda, the story follows the same beat the manga does and while fan service does carry this show a bit it is still amazing way to get into one piece if you are to scared to start the soon 1100 episode anime. A great way to test the water you could say 😏 (okay I’ll stop with the jokes).but what I would say one of the draw backs of this show is that it’s trying to fit 49, 30 minute episodes into a span of 8 hours, so it’s far to say the story does suffer from pacing but that’s very easy to look over when your so draw in by the crew chemistry, the fights choreography, the beautiful set and pieces and the world of one piece. Do I think they’ll ever catch up to the manga? God no. But do I think they’ll make it far? Yes.
