Love the cinematography - in many crucial scenes, the women are depicted as beautiful oil paintings, haunting and raw, set against painterly backgrounds, or just a grey wall. The tension between the two layers of society, between men’s and women’s roles in Turkey is movingly displayed, no commentary, no lecturing, just “that’s how it is” and very complex, like in any society. I find this to be very moving, I wish Netflix would feature more movies like this. A real jewel, a hidden gem.
