I would not pay to see this movie, in fact I would allow someone else to pay for me to see this movie. There is so much potential with the matrix canon that this movie is truly disappointing. First off, why the 60 year time delay why not 100 or 200 years. What was significant about 60? Why not 20 years to explain their aging. I expected the fighting sequence in the dojo to be mesmerizing, instead I’ve seen better fights on a elementary school playground. Too too many scenes from the previous movies that made this movie seem even weaker to stand on its own. Whats with Niobe she’s suppose to be in her 80’s of 90’s? She moved around better than some 40 year olds I know. Her acting was bad plus her character was indecisive. The only good thing was the acting by the supporting actors. The whole gender bender thing was unnecessary. If I want to see a female hero ill go watch one but when you expect John Wayne to be the hero and he isn’t then it’s a big let down. Don’t get me wrong I really like trinity’s character and yes she can grow and be strong or stronger but she did it in less time than he did snd he was out longer from the matrix. Makes no sense. If she had been removed from the matrix before him I could easily accept her new superpowers but Neo was still having. Hard time just defending himself. Look it was bad, really bad. I like the love story part where he tries to retrieve her but it could have been find for much better. It was a big let down. Why didn’t the original directors do it. Who’s thus Lana? And his can you give a major blockbuster to someone who should probably be directing school plays. What a huge let down. As for the writing, someone should blackball them from ever doing another script.
