I watched this film expecting it to be decent but it offers no improvement from the original. The storyline is shallow and it seems like its been chucked together with no build up and the basketball game just happens suddenly and is completely predictable. LeBron James acting is not good at all and all the main characters seem like they'd rather be anywhere else. The looney tun characters are animated with CGI and look off-putting and weird. The amount of cameos this film has feels like an ultimate money grab with every Warner Bros film chucked into one film. This "Comedy" is dull and plain. Do not waste your time on this film.

I was disappointed in this 2021 Candyman film. It focuses on the gore more than the scare. The original film I found to be a lot scarier than this and the storyline and characterisation was superior in the original too. Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars not one is because the effects are good.
