One of my absolute favorite books all time. No book compares. Too many people are rating this book negatively but it’s absolutely amazing. Worth reading every page it had a satisfying ending and wasn’t pretentious or anything. It took place in a world I’d love to see more stories based in. If you’re looking for something more specific about animal behavior read non-fiction like Other Minds or “Are we smart enough to know how smart animals are?”. I read a lot of fiction and many classics this year such as Wind Up Bird Chronicles, Slaughterhouse V, The Great Gatsby, Return to the Enchanted Island (which was my least favorite book I’ve read this year), The Hobbit, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Last Book in the Universe, Game of Thrones, Foundation, Extraordinary Adventures by Daniel Wallace, and the unsatisfying Clash of Kings. This was my absolute favorite I read this year.
