Reservation Dogs has the charm, emotional depth, reality & comedy of Sherman Alexie's 1988 Smoke Signals, yet the series has its own unique cultural imprint. Then it also has a Greek chorus of the biking twins riding through to comment on the action. The final episode of Season 1 is achingly perfect with Gary Farmer playing such an irascible, compassionate character. The homage to Reservoir Dogs makes the series all the funnier & yet provides a serious, sobering contrast to the reality of daily lives in the series. I will be sure not to miss an episode of Season 2. Reservation Dogs ranks right up there with Smoke Signals, Dark Winds, & Montford: Chickasaw Rancher. Here is hoping Sterlin continues his fine work!
