Not gonna lie, it's one of those movies that makes you feel really smug that you "get" it because many people you talk to, don't. This isn't really a western, it just takes place there. This isn't a Call Me by Your Name forbidden love story. This is a "pay attention and take note" kind of movie that keeps you guessing who is the problem and who is the problem solver.

I went in fully prepared to have my heart shattered for the characters constantly and each episode I was on edge for the bad stuff to really kick off but it doesn't happen. The show does exactly what Archie does to the movie he's writing, it tells the story from the view that maybe this time it doesn't end in tragedy. It was a sweet little tale with a mostly happy ending and I found it gorgeous and entertaining.
