My first ever “Souls” game and oh my word what an incredible experience. I have always loved open world RPG’s but this takes the genre to a whole new level. The art design, the scale and vastness of the world, you just get completely lost and immersed in it. RPG’s have traditionally always guided you and directed you through the world/story, held your hand so to speak. This game does not and at first I wasn’t really sure how to feel about it, being so used to the usual formula of RPG’s but after a few hours I grew to absolute love how my hand was not being held - it was just so refreshing and it gave an extra feeling of freedom. A game that will be looked back on and talked about for years & years to come. A modern day masterpiece.
