The review score for this movie is about right, a 3.5 is about what I felt about this tense but ultimately a little flat action movie. It never really reaches any great heights, despite some good early tension and build up. some slightly implausible plot elements don’t help but they aren’t the big issue, more that the climax is a bit disappointing and non eventful. Still worth a watch for some great action and good ol red neck reminders.

Loved this series, really had an impact on me especially at the ending, which was just perfect. The plot develops nicely through each episode but for me it was how I felt for the main characters, I found myself really invested in them and what their outcomes would be. It does go a bit off rail the last 2 episodes but there is a reason for that, which becomes clear at the end. Deep, strong messages about life, love, sadness and the madness of our current world all mixed in with great comic expression. Watch it.

Not sure how this makes Netflix top shows, probably because they made it and need the eyeballs. It’s average at best. Acting is mediocre, some good moments but mainly try hard, action sequences are ….mmmm…uninspiring. And the plot just gets worse as the series progresses, with the finale just being silly. It’s a short series so that’s its’ saving grace, if time poor don’t bother.
