Such a shame this wasn't renewed for a 2nd series. I really enjoyed it. It really captured the spirit of the era. The glamour, the excitement, even the casual sexism and misogyny. It had Mad Men vibes for me and had the potential for several more series. What a pity.

It's very silly. Almost wholly inaccurate as a representation of the period, from the costumes, to the dialogue, to the diversity. Having said that, as long as nobody thinks this is in any way accurate historically, it's addictive and really quite delicious hokum! Fun to watch.

Hated it. But then I didn't like "The Favourite" either. Don't like "modernised" dialogue in period dramas.
