Okay, so what did I just watch?? I was so juiced and amped up about seeing Monique back in action and instead I was presented with this. Don't get me wrong, I believe Monique committed to her role, however the the writing in some of the scenarios were just not an accurate depiction for how black people respond to situations. To run into a room and not think to barricade yourself in the room was unrealistic for black people. For the FRIEND to sit on the steps and hold her mouth in fear and watch the homie get stabbed was not realistic. To say they were girls from the hood with razor blades and can take on one woman only for them to go down and fight like they were new to it was also unrealistic. However, congratulations to Ms. Monique, because babaaaaaaaay (in my Monique voice) you did that!! I have not one negative thing to say about the acting! I just want you guys to give our black people a little more credit in some of these scenes. You have us acting like people other than us and that is NOT how we get down. PLEASE NO PART 2!
I can't with the shot up dude not bleeding and running around the house with energy.
