OMG, the most believable part was the hotel had a laundry and a kitchen. Form there on in, it's a bit sketchy. How many times can a man get hit by several assailants brandishing various weapons with I might add stab woulds and bullet wounds to the abdomen. Everyone is undercover or bent or both. The only thing that does not fail in this film are the cell phones BRILLIANT, I want one they can survive, water, hard shocks and the battery life is second to none. It ended on a cliff hangar PLEASE so not make a sequel, I will feel compelled to see if its quite as bad that's another couple hours of my life I won't get back!

A top film, it succeeds in being both thought provoking and funny. The Trump parody by Meryl Streep is brilliant, as is Mark Rylance as the awkward billionaire, Isherwood. You can see why Jenifer Lawrence is so highly paid, DeCaprio is not his usual twinkly eye candy but rather a socially inadequate academic. At 2 hours 25 mins its not short but it romps along, packed with funnies but also holds a mirror up to the way we live with social media at the heart of everything, corruptible politicians and corrupted big business.

A 90 minute film crammed into 6 hours of mini series, a good tail with potential, prosaic and (maybe) intentionally dull. Toni Collette who is easy on the eye, not because of her looks but because she is the only one in the cast who is animated and once or twice smiles. The other detective, who's name I did not forget but failed to remember was not monotone for that would imply a range from white to black. Hers was like a pigeon pecking at her own reflection in a rain soaked municipal town square. It was not all bad, i just resent the 6 hours of my life that ain't comin back.

What a compelling film, almost a documentary, played so well you would be forgiven for thinking it was. No Hollywood BS, no stupid music just a brilliant dramatisation of dialogue (which seemed unscripted), well done Paul Greengrass, not sure an American director could have pulled it of with our the rah rah USA, BS?

Phoned in acting performances, I had no empathy for either of them shouty and un-charismatic. They are both capable of better, I didn't believe them it was trying to be Taylor and Burton, they did not have the class to pull it off.

On the whole great but spoiled by the doggy Scottish accent of the Duncan Preston, are we really to believe that a 75 year old would still be a Police detective?

A fabulously acted indie film about the head of a Sikh family dying. A film that relies on a story not on special effects or wiz bang cinematography. the acting was out of the park (apart from the veteran Kim Coats who was not so good). Agam Darshi and Stephen Lobo are brilliant, whilst based on a Canadian Sikh family, it completely and fabulously describes the human condition. It is authentic competing and beautiful piece of writing, making the whole composition well worth the watch and up there with the best.

Like every other film like this ever made, only rubbish. I know it's make believe but I am afraid it does not draw you in at all its at best a vehicle for the main actors who really do not need to raise their profiles I guess if you like the actors it may be for you, I am indifferent so their "Stand out" performances would not pull me in to another movie they were involved in.

A potentially really good film spoiled by chronology or lack thereof, its like some on edited the script with a shot gun. I have no idea why it was thought that the story should not have an arc, it would have worked much better than jittery back and forth time shift. All of the actors were great however and like all true stories it felt authentic, so it was written well enough. I would ponder what happened in the Afleck family to make those dudes quite so one dimensional and morose, could not see Casey or Ben in a comedy. It would have been infinitely more watchable with a timeline but a good story never the less.

Maybe this paid Nick Cage's mortgage long enough for him to get a decent script? In this fallow period he may have had time unlike me to work out what the bloody hell this film was about?
