I would really like A Current Affair to investigate into Australias rental crisis. Why only in the last few years has the problem of finding rental properties increased drastically? Is it due to foreign overseas investors buying property over the internet from overseas and they just leave them sit vacant, as they are not even residents of Australia and they reside overseas? Or is it due to illegal immigration as I have witness foreign nationals looking at rental properties and applying for them for their foreign friends who are not even meant to still be in the Country. Our Government really needs to look into illegal immigration within Australia as I believe this is effecting Australian citizens ability to find suitable rentals.
