I just rewatched season one after a few years and it slapped just as hard. The plot is fantastic. Epic story line, each character chosen and played impeachably well not to mention the superb old-english dialogue. Different from most shows of it's kind that focus on the upper echelons of Rome, this one follows the journey and rise of a slave. Honour, betrayal, glory, love. Passion, it's all there. One of the best roman time series you'l watch
