The shots of scenery and background are magnificent. It puts you in mind of a hundred years ago, which is probably what they were wanting to do. Very Hitchcockian. However... it was so slow. Today's audience just won't stand for that. It was a full half hour or more before they actually got to the first "Boo!" The makeup for the vampire couldn't make up its mind if it wanted to look like a human or look like some otherworldly beast. Other than the gnarly hands, I've seen worse people out on the street. He also had breathing problems, and that was okay-at first, but after a while, you wanted to get him an asthma inhaler, or a Darth Vader mask. I could go on, but... bleah.
