'Member the Matrix? 'Member how it was visually stunning, action packed and exciting? I 'member. Resurrections is a recycled, rehashed nostalgia tour without any fresh ideas. I felt I have seen all the action scenes already - choppers crashing into buildings, making solids wave like water, liquid mirror, blue pill, red pill, I have seen all that 20 years ago. What is new is the swarming 'zombies' scene, that's so out of place that for a second I thought the projectionist put on the wrong reel by mistake. Am I watching World War Z suddenly? Writing is lazy at best, I could summarise the plot in a few sentences - but I'd rather forget the whole experience. It's like the scenes are not chronologically connected to each other. Real conflict, plot twists, character development, building up tension? You not gonna find any of these here. Dull. Disappointing. Sad.
