Cathy Schneider

A compelling story featuring actors (including relatively minor characters) performing at their absolute best. It is skillfully underplayed, contributing to our suspense as to the outcome. The cinematography is gorgeous, the sets are beautifully rendered and the score is subtly enticing. I had expected a pretty period piece, but this film is ever so much more than that.
