I'd like to start by saying that the acting was great and I enjoyed it. However, I don't understand at all why there was so much emphasis on "The Women of the hour"(Anna Kendrick's role) when she didn't do anything. Then they cut to the run-away(the actual hero here) and I was confused like "who the hell is that, is that Anna Kendrick as a teen". Then finally the denouement shots across explaining who the final girl was. I was left feeling that I watched two different movies stitched together.
You could've made two movies out of this.
A game show where a girl fights the patriarchy and finds love but it's not what it seems.
And then docudrama of a serial killer and how a clever girl manages to finally bring him down by outfoxing him.
