After all this time I had perhaps too high an excitement level to see this movie, and when I found myself groaning less than halfway through and considering walking out before it was over I knew my hopes had been too high. There are redeeming qualities, the development of the relationship between Lydia and Delia was the best part of the movie for me, and the only one of the many conflicting storylines in the movie that I cared about at all. Everything else felt rushed, half baked, or just trying too hard.
