#TheTashkentFiles is a movie based on facts and not at all fictional. Although politically aligned reviewers have given it negative reviews, but it is a movie that raises important and pertinent questions about our country. Substantial research has gone into the making of the movie and is evident from the references drawn from various historical and literary sources across the globe. An entire nation with all its newer generations have been kept in the dark about one of its most important leaders. The movie questions the impact of politicians in cultivating various kinds of terrorism, as a means to imbibe fear in the minds of the citizens, and negotiating the rights of all citizens to the truth in lieu of their security, labelling the entire country available 'for sale'. A must watch for every Indian to understand the meaning of nationalism. This isn't a work of fiction. But the actors are terrific. Mithun Chakraborty, Shweta Basu Prasad, Naseeruddin Shah, Pallavi Joshi, Mandira Bedi were all remarkable in their own ways.
