Zantetsu

Absolutely horrible movie lacking in any redeeming quality whatsoever. This movie actually resorts to torturing animals in an attempt to win audience sympathy. The absolutely laziest writing possible. Nearly every scene is the group of guardians bickering amongst themselves in an attempt to re-create the humorous verbal jousting of the first movie. But every attempt falls completely flat in this movie. Almost no aspect to the plot has any significance except to create very forced situations for the guardians to battle against. Completely bizarre and unnecessary sequences abounds, including animalized humans who exist for no purpose other than to look weird and to try to create yet another simpleminded foil to bounce awful jokes off of. Quite frankly I couldn't wait for this film to end and yet it kept torturing me with an ending that just wouldn't stop. It kept going, making ever more desperate attempts to pull at my heartstrings in the most obvious and insipid ways. One of the worst films I have ever seen, hands down. The first Guardians of the Galaxy was an incredible movie. The second was bad but I thought that maybe they'd turn things around for the third installment. But I found that they actually just doubled down on the worst aspects of the second movie. Two plus hours of my life that I will never get back.
