Hey NBC NIGHTLY NEWS! Just watched a piece (Saturday, September 18th) regarding the national shortage of veterinarians. The profession is called Veterinarian, not vetinarian. Pronounced: VET ER IN ARIAN, not VET IN ARIAN. Great story, but I would hope both your news reader and the reporter, at minimum, would take the time to pronounce the word correctly. I'm writing this in honor of both my father and my uncle.... I learned the correct pronunciation when I was four years old! Just a thought on perceived professionalism.... Thanks for your time.
