First, I loved “The Plot.” But this book rambles on and on, carefully avoiding the reveal of significant “plot” points, exhaustively wandering off on tangents and playing so close to the vest as to be exhausting. I gave up, finally, still wondering if the MacGuffin is the “eyelashes.”
