They completely butchered the character of Anne Elliot. The version of "Anne Elliot" in Netflix's Persuasion ruins the very thing that makes Austen's book so relatable, timeless, and charming. Austen's Anne Elliot is clever, empathetic, mature, and emotionally courageous despite everyone overlooking her. Netflix turned her into a self-pitying, infantile, walking disaster. What a mess!
