First and foremost, I want to say that I know that the series is based on the book by Daniel P. Mannix. With that being said, I have a master degree in ancient history and since I have a strong interest on the matter of gladiators I wanted to point out that a lot of the depictions are wrong and unrealistic (shout out to the bad CGI, the slaves that have way too much power and the lion that jumps in the ). I also found myself tired of the Tenax-Cala-Kwane-Aura-Jula storyline pretty early, which is as the center of the series. But the series might do it for you if you are looking for entertainment and drama.
