A gripping page turner of a book. Peter Faulding is an incredibly interesting guy This book tells his extraordinary life story in fascinating and personal detail.
A skilled search expert in caves, tunnels, rivers, up trees and in royal, political arenas and embassies so many varied incident and search areas, Peter describes a wide range of crimes and situations. But it’s more than that. Throughout for me the book’s real strength is the way he incorporates Peters own thoughts and so much personal detail (eg the bond and early education he had and got from his Dad).
It’s a thrilling read. I’m fairly squeamish. It’s not a book with gory full detail. Nor (given his expertise and it could so easily have been) is It self promotional or one self aggrandisement episode after another. The opposite… the reflections are pretty humble in parts
Strong recommendation… So in summary I loved the book. Its fast pace and combo of personal thought / detail about fascinating episodes makes it a complete winner
