Such a shame that the supporting cast is not up to par. The direction also is botched up. Nuances are missing severely. NTKK has better court room scenes than this.
Not sure why JJ got it so wrong. It lets down the whole film.

As someone has noted in a review below, this is North Indian matchmaking. As a South Indian, it gave me insights to how things work in the north. The other problem is that the host/matchmaker is from an era gone by. She got married in 1983 and matchmaking in 2024. She does her best though mostly.
