I almost thoroughly enjoyed this film.. I am a HUGE fan of both Mr. Murphy and Mr. Moore. The costumes are Oscar worthy.. locations and sets totally on point. Murphy’s protrayal was spot-on, except for the VOICE.. Murphy, who we all know is a MASTER of mimicry, basically talked in his own voice for the entire film. ANYONE who has ever uttered a Dolemite line, has tried to do so with that gravel voiced delivery.. Rudy Ray’s voice is as distinctive as Redd Foxx or Rodney Dangerfield’s. Had Eddie done the voice this movie would’ve been perfect for Me..
