As a 53 year old woman I have often found myself on the sidelines of the gender identification debate. When I was younger, you were gay or straight. Then bisexual was added to the mix (which suited me). As a broadminded woman I have always tried to greet the ideas of our youth with the same broad mind. But the 'great gender debate' has often left me a little confused. I never felt the need to 'label' myself.
Watching this made me realise that, as with racism, if it matters to others, it should matter to me.
