The 1st Outlast is a better game in my opinion. As for me personally it invoked genuine fear and anxiety. It was also genuinely just interesting. The second one just makes me more angry than anything. The amount of sexual violence in this game and talk of literally having sex with minors is disgusting. Whether or not it's from a story telling point of view or not. Dead children, r*pe referencing every other scene from your own wife and various minors. This game is a lot to take in. Not to mention it's just plan out not a good game. The movement is choppy, the ai is very easy to outrun and steer into objects. That being said you are just as likely to get caught on invisibly pebbles. The graphics are very well done, the game in beautiful rendered. Never had FPS drops or anything, visually it's smooth as butter. Due to poor gameplay and the poor choice of shock horror versus true suspense, it's a no-go for me. I wouldn't recommend.
