The plot long story short: Man named Petruchio physically and mentally abuses a women called Katharina in order for her to be submissive because she was married off to him by her father. She gives a 2 page speech on how women belong to their husbands at the end of the book, because she was brainwashed and manipulated. Disgusting book.
