Poor unlikely script. "G'day Jack. We thought you were dog tucker" ...unlikely phrase in 1865. The only positive is the use of te reo and the performance of some young actors and actresses. Rewi's famous response to an invitation to surrender was understated. History has provided us with many opportunities to expose colonial greed and military aggression but sadly, this film missed the point. Best Actor ...the gecko.
