I absolutely love Trenton Lee Stewart's book series, so I was really excited when I heard that Disney was turning it into a TV series. However, I was disappointed with how the show turned out. The main characters were depicted very differently from how they were described in the books, and the plot was changed a lot, especially in the second season. This made it seem like a completely different story. I was especially disappointed with the lack of emotional depth in the characters, particularly in Milligan and Kate. In the books, Kate is portrayed as expressive and cheerful, but in the show, she comes across as serious, angry, and rude a lot of the time. I think that the show had the potential to be amazing, but because of the major differences from the books and the poor acting, it was hard for me to connect with it. I'm sure that overall, it's a decent show, but as a fan of the books, I feel let down by the way the writers took the story.
