The book is very selective in its quotes from the Old Testament. It does not give a convincing evidence of the continuity between the Old Tesatment and the New Testament.. I realize that A. La Coque & Paul Ricoeur are world renown scholars, Their scholarship is beyond doubt into objectivity, but as a layman I did not experience the validity of their account of the selected parts that they have elaborated on. The O.T. was never a source of devotion to the Christianity of the New Testament, I wonder if I am alone in this impression. Has there been any critics of Thinking Biblically?
