When watching this I realized that the topic isn't historical. It's happening in the United States right now. A majority of the American public has lost its mind and voted in a dictator and cronies who will do incredible damage to this republic. This movie also did an amazing job of showing how good people with little power felt so utterly helpless in trying to change the course of events. Fast forward again; many people do not know what to do about what's going on right in front of their eyes. We all know what happened to Germany. Four years of war and the country was utterly broken. Completely ruined. The U.S. came to Europe's aid and helped rescue democracy. Who will save us now?

Excellent acting. Horrible story. The soundtrack made it seem like a horror movie. Whenever the character Vera was in a room w. a woman they'd stick on this eerie awful music to make the viewer think it was eerie and awful. Abortion is a fact of life. Just like birth and death. Let's face it, the need for an abortion is usually not something a woman celebrates and many women (or girls) will go through discomfort or pain, both physical and psychological, after it's performed. But whether it is legal or illegal, women will always need to have the procedure available. For many, many reasons. And the only thing that this flick drives home is that it needs to be SAFE and LEGAL. With one more thing. The people who perform it should be respectful of the patient as they would be in any healthcare setting. No judgement whatsoever. I thought the hospital staff portrayed in this movie were absolutely wretched people. This isn't a "feel-good" movie by any stretch. But it accurately shows that the "good ol' days" never were.

Really awful. The wierd kid who can't talk witnesses a murder at a hotel and guess what her mom is a murder profiler for the FBI and Sweden's equivalent. What are the odds of that? And of course she can't talk b/c if she could that'd just end the show in minutes. What an incredibly stupid beginning. Then the psychopath who reminds me of the Terminator in "Judgement Day" (not Arnold the other one) is a hit man for a southern religious sect?? It's bizarre and frankly a lazy and outlandish premise. The show's writers seem to have gotten together to string about as many improbable events together and it just gets worse. Forget this dreck.

Well, the acting was good and the plot suspenseful. However, I could absolutely not stand the character, Lexie. Amazing that people who've posted think she's just an "innocent housewife" protecting her kids and the cops are just so mean. LOL. We learn that like her husband she is also a CPA (don't know what they're called in the UK) and would have understood very well what he was up to. She never asked where the huge deposits into their bank account were coming from. After he's murdered she finds the incriminating evidence including the phone (that she's stupid enough to turn on) he used to talk to the mafia don, but doesn't take it to the police. During interviews w/ the cops she scoffs at them, reveals nothing about what she knows despite the fact that she found out her hubby was in up to his neck and had ties to organized crime. She's as big a creep as her spouse and deserved getting raked over the coals. She boo-hoos but has only herself (and her husband) to blame. Innocent? Hardly.

As others have noted the movie is repetitive and boring. Nyad is completely unlikable as a self-centered, self-promoting git. It's amazing how folks like her find better people to help their "cause", who are the real reason they achieve anything. Also, the movie promoted the idea and Nyad kept yammering on about how her swim is an act of "courage". No, it isn't. Courage is showing the ability to stand up to people who are doing wrong. Like Elizabeth Cheney defying Donald Trump. This is much harder and requires more guts than any physical contest. And guess what. Hardly anybody demonstrates this kind of behavior b/c it comes with heavy consequences. Worse than being stung by a jellyfish. What Nyad did and what countless other athletes do is just the act of challenging their body. LOL. Big deal.

I'm afraid I thought the movie was extremely slow and you don't get to know anyone quite well enough. I actually thought that Nora's character was the least developed. I felt bad for both guys esp. Arthur and the scene where they are out walking on the the street together called to mind the old saying "two's company, three's a crowd". LOL. Anyway, a woman who has two men actually love her during her life is a lucky person indeed.
