I thought the book was great. I read it in three days.
The relationship of the agency is progressing wonderfully. Pat reminds me of someone I once knew. Barclay, Hutchins, were great supporting characters. Morris, however, I felt that situation is not over yet. Before Shiftys casemail is done, he will get what's coming to him.
I can't wait for the next book.
I was very disappointed at the online bombardment of the authors (transgender), comments or views. In my opinion those online comments from the press or other outlets was total aggression towards the author. Everyone has the right to their own opinion.
If you read the history of serial killers, regardless of which country they are from, there were in the last hundred and fifty years several that were transgenders. However, this book does not use that metaphor to discriminate against
anyone. The male killers wants to deceive and do whatever it took to achieve his goal of torturing his victims. There was no perception that the killer wanted to become a woman, or was a transgender.
Far from it. He wanted to dominate his victims, teach them a lesson. Take thier lives for his own pleasure, sexual or otherwise.
