This show was an excellent representation of many issues faced in the 40’s to include GLBTQ, sexism, racism, you name it. The story lines were realistic and well thought out. The amount of research that went into this must have been staggering because virtually everything was spot on. Even a former member of the AAGPBL was interviewed agreeing to the accuracy of the lesbians in the league. And the rest, well it’s in the history books. I’ve watched this three times and will watch it several times more waiting for season 2. Ratings of 16+ seemed to be ignored by some reviewers who let their children watch the tv show.
