Lesley Halkett

I love this movie. Christian Bale plays Evans, a one legged civil war veteran farmer trying to redeem himself to his son who sees him as weak. It follows the usual Western themes of loyalty and revenge, and explores the relationship between Bale and Crowe (as the outlaw Ben Wade), Wade's respect for Evans and the effect they have on Evans' young son, who admires Wade and despises his father. Great cast, great acting, visually beautiful.

I love this show. There are some great performances and it gives an interesting (albeit somewhat glamorized) view of Georgian London and how nearly a quarter of the women earned their living. I love the intro with the Hogarth drawings too.
