The last book I was excited to read from Mr Sparks was almost 10 years ago- the Longest Ride. I remembered buying it at the airport and feeling so excited to dive in. It was the first book of his that left me disappointed. The next few novels that debuted, I read the synopsis online it skimmed the first few pages at the library and moved on to the next shelf.
The Wish has finally pulled me back in and I’m hopeful we can get back in the groove of releasing a Sparks movie every other year because these characters are begging to be seen on the big screen.
Three times I sobbed so hard I had to put the book down. While I had a guess at where one storyline was going, Sparks completely threw me (and shattered my already beaten heart) with a twist in the last chapter.
This is one of the rare books that I wish I could rewind my brain to read again for the first time. Thank you Nicholas Sparks for sharing your gift with the world.
