A good plot overall but it was eerily similar to the Kannada blockbuster thriller movie 'Rangitaranga'. Replace Tulunad by Nilgiris and Yakshagana by Mayana Kollai, you get 'Suzhal' from 'Rangitaranga'. It also shows the same extramarital affairs, villain being the main artist for the festival and the villain being identified on the last day of festival as in the Kannada movie. Not sure if the producers got the rights of Rangitaranga but there are just too many similarities between them with the differences being very minor.
It portrays the village culture in a nice manner with excellent picturization. For the ones who have watched Rangitaranga before, the mystery would be a little less due to similarities in the plot.
However, it's a good decent watch overall.
