Hmmmm … Felt like Clooney & Pitt had the idea in a bar one night to do one more movie together for the money, for a laugh and just because they can. Had its moments, beautifully filmed but just didn’t quite work. The standout performance was the young guy. Nice caper film to watch when nothing else is on the tv.

Gave up watching it after one and a half episodes. Should have been a good series but the storyline, direction & acting was just getting silly & annoying … like the sick son’s surgeon taxi-ing the mother & kid around Paris whilst his hospital’s being evacuated. And the Dad stopping for ages in the middle of the desert to make phone calls, almost getting lost then standing on top of a sand dune wondering why his security people are lying down/hiding with guns out ready in case the newly arrived cars have more bad guys. Like I said. Annoying & silly.

Tom Hollander is superb playing the very unlikeable Truman Capote. And his ‘Swans’ are all superb too, especially Naomi Watts.

Martin Freeman gave a superb performance. And a standout for me was Emily Fairn who plays the Casey the 'bag head'. She played a homeless drug addict running around causing chaos. Absolutely nailed it. Both series brilliant - must see drama.

Loved it! Kirsten Wiig is brilliant.

Bradley Cooper superb … surely will be nominated for an Oscar. Opening scenes brilliant… but … I found the film itself boring. Sorry to write such a poor review.

Incredible scenery, sets, costumes but I found the acting mostly flat and the dialogue/screenplay more like a school play or a Hallmark movie. Just couldn’t engage. Sorry but boring. Strictly for die hard LOTR fans.

Fabulous costumes and sets, very well cast, visually stunning, only reason gave 3 stars is because its so long and very disappointed/surprised it was part one. Would have been much better if it was the full story in one film even if it was 3+ hours. Changed to 4 stars!!
